Our Story

We believe that job satisfaction and future performance are largely determined during the hiring process. Unfortunately, many individuals end up in positions that are not well-suited for them due to outdated evaluation methods used by hiring teams.

Dr. Alan Bourne experienced this issue firsthand while practicing as a Chartered Organisational Psychologist. He observed that legacy assessment solutions and technologies often left organisations with disconnected, siloed tools that failed to communicate with one another. This resulted in a poor candidate experience that was filled with bias, causing organisations to miss out on valuable talent.

In 2015, Alan took a bold step to transform the assessment market by creating Sova, a centralised Talent Assessment Platform designed to minimise wasted resources and enhance the effectiveness, fairness, and quality of hiring.

Since its inception, Sova has been utilised by hundreds of the world's largest organisations, assisting in the hiring of hundreds of thousands of candidates.
